Boiler Heating

My Boiler Is Heating Up But I Am Not Getting Any Hot Water Or Heating. I Was Wondering If Anyone Can Tell Me Why? It Is A Gas Boiler And Dont Know Were The Pilot Light Is So Cant Check If This Has Gone Out. ?? Any Hel Would Be Appreciated.
This Has Only Just Happened And Everything Was Ok Before. I Had A Power Cut And From The The Pressure Gauge Is On The Lowest It Can Get, And How Will I Find The Pup Were About Is This?
